RIP Mustang, Hello Caddy!

Last week I was involved in a car accident. Another driver ran a red light and got me pretty good. I was very lucky and walked away with only a few bruises, and so did the young man.

I didn’t even see it coming. In fact, I was so disoriented I thought I had died. All I heard was a loud POW!!  I began spinning around and everything was black. There was a smell of what I thought was gun powder. I thought maybe I had been hit by a bomb. By the time I realized what had happened, the boy was already at my door, trying to help me out of the car. Luckily, I was able to get out and move with little problems.

The first thing I did was call my boss. I was on the way to a meeting with her. I knew I wouldn’t make it to the meeting. I then called my husband and my parents. I broke down crying by the time I talked to my parents. By the time I had finished calling them, one of my colleagues was there to help me. I will be forever grateful for her presence. Soon after my husband and my parents were there to make sure I was ok. I realized how blessed I am to have all these people in my life to drop everything to come check on my well-being.

I’m pretty sure one of the coolest cars I’ve ever owned will be totaled. While it’s sad to see it go, it’s just a car.  It was a great car and it kept me safe, but it can be replaced…and it already has been…

There is no way I could go without a car, so Saturday I went to Sewell Cadillac and picked up this BEAUTY!! I’m in love. I never really thought there was much of a difference between a luxury car and a regular car.  Let me tell you…THERE IS!!! The Cadillac drives like you are floating on air.  It’s actually indescribable!!

The experience of buying the car at Sewell was amazing. Their customer service and care is top notch. They truly care about their customer!!   I would highly recommend them if you are in the market for a new car.  See Scott Dulin because he was awesome!!

I’ve been singing “Guitars and Cadillacs” ever since I drove it off the lot! LOL!  🙂

‘STANG FEVER!!

My mom had a Mustang convertible when I was younger.  Once she was done with it, my sister owned it until she got out of law school. I don’t think either of them ever really wanted to even give it up.  So when I went to get a new car, I decided it was MY turn to own one!! I have been leasing  a car for as long as I can remember.  It has never been a problem for me because I don’t drive that much, so I can usually stay within the mileage allocation.  The last car I got was a Volvo C70 and I loved it, but I was always worrying about miles.  It’s probably my favorite car I have ever owned…until now!!

I went to Park Cities Ford yesterday to look at the Mustangs and ran in to my favorite Ford Car Salesman ever, Jeff Little.  He didn’t waste my time and kept things moving.  Most of the time you end up spending too long at the car dealership, but not with Jeff.  He knows how to keep things on track and had me out of there with the most beautiful Ford Mustang ever!  When they didn’t have exactly what I wanted, he personally went and picked up a different car from the sister dealership so I could have the perfect car.  (I got the V6 with the pony package.)  If you are in the market for a new car, I highly recommend going to see Jeff Little at Park Cities Ford!
