Valentine’s Day Decor

I’ve never been the one to decorate my house for the different seasons or holidays, but after Christmas was over, I really missed having those decorations.  I am going to start buying cute little things this year for different seasons and holidays.  Since Valentine’s Day is coming, I bought some cute little LOVE blocks.  These are cute for the mantle. I also might take them in the RV if I go somewhere around Valentine’s Day.  They’re not too thick, so I can put something behind it if I want.  I wish I could have found more stuff on Amazon, so I wouldn’t have to actually go to the store to find holiday decor.

I also got little red throw pillow covers for the couch. I couldn’t find any already made pillows so I had to buy the pillows to go inside. I want to put some square pillows in front of these that say LOVE or something else Valentinesy in front of the ones I have.  I think later today I’ll head to Hobby Lobby and get some more stuff!

Pillow covers

We got a new gray couch about a year ago. It came with four throw pillows, but it really needed four more.  I had four pillows on my old couch that didn’t match the new couch, but I’ve used those pillows anyway.  I finally decided to get some new pillow cases.  I love the textures on these and they go with the pillows that came with the couch.

Puppy Training

Layla is probably the cutest puppy ever and she’s super smart.  I have spent so much time worrying about potty training her that I never really gave her a chance to tell me she needs to go.  I’m going to try out these potty bells that I bought on amazon.  Fingers crossed  that she uses them!!

Picture this

I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with this wall.  I really didn’t want to put a big picture there because it leaves too much open space.  I decided to do a picture wall.  This is almost finished.  I’ve since added two more pictures to the left, but I need one more for the bottom row, so they aren’t included in this picture.  I’m pretty happy with how it turned out though.

RIP Mustang, Hello Caddy!

Last week I was involved in a car accident. Another driver ran a red light and got me pretty good. I was very lucky and walked away with only a few bruises, and so did the young man.

I didn’t even see it coming. In fact, I was so disoriented I thought I had died. All I heard was a loud POW!!  I began spinning around and everything was black. There was a smell of what I thought was gun powder. I thought maybe I had been hit by a bomb. By the time I realized what had happened, the boy was already at my door, trying to help me out of the car. Luckily, I was able to get out and move with little problems.

The first thing I did was call my boss. I was on the way to a meeting with her. I knew I wouldn’t make it to the meeting. I then called my husband and my parents. I broke down crying by the time I talked to my parents. By the time I had finished calling them, one of my colleagues was there to help me. I will be forever grateful for her presence. Soon after my husband and my parents were there to make sure I was ok. I realized how blessed I am to have all these people in my life to drop everything to come check on my well-being.

I’m pretty sure one of the coolest cars I’ve ever owned will be totaled. While it’s sad to see it go, it’s just a car.  It was a great car and it kept me safe, but it can be replaced…and it already has been…

There is no way I could go without a car, so Saturday I went to Sewell Cadillac and picked up this BEAUTY!! I’m in love. I never really thought there was much of a difference between a luxury car and a regular car.  Let me tell you…THERE IS!!! The Cadillac drives like you are floating on air.  It’s actually indescribable!!

The experience of buying the car at Sewell was amazing. Their customer service and care is top notch. They truly care about their customer!!   I would highly recommend them if you are in the market for a new car.  See Scott Dulin because he was awesome!!

I’ve been singing “Guitars and Cadillacs” ever since I drove it off the lot! LOL!  🙂
