Barton Creek Mall
It’s 72 degrees outside today in Austin, Texas. The sun is shining. I’m wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It’s a beautiful day. I go to Barton Creek Mall to pick up my new Prada glasses. While I’m there, I decide to go to Macy’s because my sister has told me that she heard they have Miss Me Jeans on sale. (I found one style on sale, but they had flap pockets and those don’t look good on me.) Since they don’t have any I like, I look around at all their sale stuff and I find beautiful jackets/coats on sale for $29.00. I am pretty much obsessed with coats. It could be 105 degrees out and if I saw a coat I thought was cute, I’d buy it. I find a beautiful brown coat with leopard trim in my size. It kind of reminds me of my friend whose favorite color is leopard and since I like leopard, too, I have to have it!. I go up to buy the coat and the saleslady tells me they are $59.00. I don’t really need a coat for that much money, since winter is basically over. I tell her that they are all on the $29.00 rack, so she lets me have it for that price. WOOHOO!! SCORE!!!! I may not be able to wear this coat today, but I am now ready for any cold weather we may get for the rest of the Fall!!
The Domain
Austin is finally turning into Dallas. They’ve now opened a shopping center that just REEKS of Dallas over on Mopac and Duval called The Domain. It’s a nice outdoor mall with a Neimans and Macy’s. You can buy high end purses, clothes and much much more. We ate at the restaurant Kona Grill that was good but very “corporate”. I’m excited about a new place to shop and eat, but a little saddened over what this place represents. So much for keeping Austin wierd!
Ross
I went to Ross off Parmer yesterday to get some new sheets. It was very strange. There were several rows of empty clothes rack. Was there some kind of shopping frenzy over the last couple of days? Maybe they are getting a HUGE shipment in and needed to make room for all the new stuff.
I did, however, manage to find more than just sheets on this trip. That was strange in itself. I’m not really a big Ross fan and usually don’t find much there. But, I ended up leaving this trip to the store with the sheets, a comforter set, a sweater and a skirt! YAY! More stuff that I can’t fit into my tiny apartment! LOL!
I’ll have to go back there soon to see if they get that new shipment!
DSW 3
Well, it wasn’t easy, but I got DSW to return all my stuff and then I rebought it. Then I added another pair of shoes and a purse with the money that I saved! The manager was not very happy with me, but he let me do it. The girl who waited on me was very nice and helpful and not at all annoyed. I appreciated her wonderful service!!
DSW 2
Well, I got an email today saying that DSW has a 50% off clearance sale today. After I went and spent all that money yesterday at only 30%. I’m going to go try and get some money back. I’m so annoyed with them. It would be one thing if a couple of days had passed, but it was YESTERDAY! I haven’t even had a chance to wear any of the shoes! – Well, that’s not really true. I wore the skull and crossbones one to the mall. Either way, I want some of my money back so I can buy the one pair that I put back!!!

I love after Christmas sales! Since I didn’t go to DSW the other day for the triple points, I decided to check them out today. WOOHOO!! They were having 30% off their CLEARANCE prices! I went wild! I bought 3 pairs of shoes and 2 BCBG purses.
