Ready for the cold!!
I had the most fun this weekend. I lucked out and got to go to the Blake Shelton Concert at Choctaw Casino with my dear friends and family! It was one of the best concerts I’ve ever gone to. He interacts with the crowd like we’re all at a party in his backyard. He was so engaging, and of course his music is amazing!! I hope he comes back again next year and I can go again!!
I’ve been eyeing this fur-lined puffer coat all winter because I LOVE coats and this one is super cute! It’s down filled and really warm. It finally went on sale, so I got it in white. I hope I get a reason to wear it soon. It doesn’t get extremely cold in winter, but if it even gets slightly cool, I’ll be wearing this out and about!! The fur comes separately, so you can wear it with or without the fur hoodie!

Grid Pattern Sweater
I was so excited about this sweater that I pulled it right out of the package and put it on, so there are a few wrinkles. Now that I have it on, I’m not 100% sold on it. I love the feel of the sweater. It’s really soft. What I’m not sure of is the fit on me. I was thinking it would be more of a cowl neck, but it’s really more of a turtle neck. The length is perfect. It’s even a little longer in the back. What do you think? Should I keep it or return it!?

Color Block Sweater 2
This is the second color block sweater I got from Amazon. I was expecting not to like this much, because I don’t love over sized sweaters on me, but the length of this sweater makes up for that. The sweater material is so soft. I don’t think it’s going to be very warm, so it will be best on a cool day. I love the colors on this one. The light blue paired with the orange is really striking together! I will definitely get my money’s worth out of this one!!

Cheetah Brown sweater
I was really excited about this sweater when I saw it on Amazon! I love to wear browns and this has a cheetah block which gives it a little depth. It’s a lighter weight knit and feels comfortable on. It looks like it would be itchy, but it’s not. I am wearing a small, but I think that it’s a little large on me. Sadly, I’m probably going to return it because it’s too big, but I really like it other than that.

Baby, I’m a Star (Sweater)!
Star sweaters have been really in this year, but I haven’t been totally sold on all the little stars all over the sweater, but this great big star totally has me!! I love the fit of the sweater. The material is soft and a little better made than some of the other sweaters I’ve gotten through Amazon. I’ll definitely be keeping this one and wearing it often!!
This also comes in a really cute heart pattern. It would be perfect for Valentine’s Day!!

Frayed sweater
Ever since I saw these frayed sweaters, I’ve been wanting one. I finally found one for a good price on Amazon, so I went ahead and got it. This one gets bonus points for having a leopard print, but it comes in various other color options. I am going to enjoy this over the next few months of the light winter we have in Texas!

Batwings!!!
I’m totally loving the batwing look. This sweater is so cute. It comes in several color options. I love the sweater material and will be wearing this every chance I get. This is a size small.
BTW, the belt I have on in the second picture is pretty awesome, too! It comes with three more belts, so there are lots of options. It’s a stretchy material in the middle. I’m only wearing this one since these pants are too big, but it can be worn to help style your outfit, too! Mine is a sized 26″-32″.

Concert Night
Another fun concert night at Choctaw for Alan’s birthday weekend! Charlie Daniels Band was great! It’s hard to believe he’s 83!! He put on a fun show and engaged with the audience. Travis Tritt was also on fire!! We had such a great time!!
Alan wore the buffalo plaid shirt that he said made him look like he was wearing a table cloth. We were supposed to be taking Christmas Card photos in it, but we never got around to taking them. I didn’t want to be all matchy matchy at the concert, so I wore my khaki knotted back sweater.

Ugly Xmas Sweater
Once a year we do an Ugly Christmas Sweater day. I’ve worn the same ones for the last 30 years or so, so I decided to update my ugly Xmas sweater. I actually think this one is pretty cute! I really like the material and it fits true to size. This is a small. I can’t wait to wear it to work!!

Girls on the Run 5K
The Girls on the Run program is so empowering for young girls. This year I got to take my niece with me. I was amazed at how far she could run without stopping. I was the one who held her back!! We ran about 2.5 miles of it, then I had to take a break and run/walk the rest of the way.
I will have to say that being 30 lbs. lighter, really helped me with my running. I just started back at Orange Theory about two weeks ago, after I hit my goal weight, and really didn’t expect to be able to run as far as I did.
BTW, I got my cute Sherpa Sweater at my favorite boutique in Rowlett! Girlfriends is such a cute store! Definitely stop in if you are ever in Rowlett!!
